Susan began selling original watercolors, oil paintings, custom stationery and gift tags made from her art in August 2021, but she has been drawing and painting her whole life. She was always drawing while growing up and frequently had a sketchbook nearby. She loves watercolor and oils and has recently started experimenting with oil pastels. Susan loves nature and enjoys painting landscapes and also still lifes ~ especially pears and lemons. Susan lives a few miles from the beach and even closer to beautiful creeks and marshes, which appear in many of her paintings. She loves making calming, beautiful pieces of art and hopes they bring beauty, calm, peace and joy to others whether through a small painting or a pretty notecard. In addition to Fresh Markets, Susan sells her cards and paintings at a few local gift shops and also donates her work to various charities for auction fundraisers.
